There's a lot of good and bad on the MTB light market. On the engineering side, Ravemen really understood the needs of aggressive riders. Here is why they are on our handlebars and our helmets:

How much power (Lumens) should I choose for Enduro or Downhill?

For aggressive MTB riding in the woods, we recommend a minimum of 1200 to 1600 Lumens on the bars. The Ravemen PR1600 is a great sweet spot. If you ride really fast (DH), the PR2400 is an absolute weapon that turns night into day. The most suitable and our personal favorite is the XR6000!

Light on the helmet or the handlebars (bars)?

For MTB, the best setup is both! The bar light (like a PR2400) gives you terrain depth thanks to the shadows. A good secondary light on the helmet (e.g., Ravemen XR6000 with a helmet mount) will light up wherever you look, especially when exiting tight switchbacks.

Do the batteries hold up in the cold?

Yes, Ravemen uses high-quality lithium-ion cells. Keep in mind though, like any battery, extreme cold slightly reduces battery life. The advantage of the big models (XR and PR range) is that they feature a USB-C port: you can plug in an external battery (Powerbank) in your backpack to extend the run time if you're doing multi-hour epics.
